DSI is a world-renowned mechanical transmission development company with a rich history dating back to 1928. Founded by E.R. Coote and O.H. Jorgensen as a local industrial power transmission engineering firm, we have since grown to become a leading innovator in the field. Our unwavering commitment to providing high quality solutions to our clients, both locally and globally, has fuelled our continued growth and success.
Over the years, we have developed an extensive knowledge base, from powertrains in 1940s tanks to replacement automotive parts and advanced automatic transmission systems. At DSI, we ensure that all of our internal processes adhere to the highest standards of quality, as reflected in our adherence to the IATF 16949 quality system.
In 2020, we relocated to a state-of-the-art 5,000 SQM facility, marking the next chapter in our journey of growth and innovation. We remain dedicated to leveraging our vast experience and expertise to provide our clients with the best and most effective solutions available.

Environmental Sustainability
At DSI, we believe in environmental sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint. We have taken numerous steps towards achieving this goal, including reducing energy consumption, minimising waste generation, and recycling wherever possible. Additionally, we have installed a solar power system that generates enough energy to create approximately 75% of our electricity requirements, effectively reducing our carbon footprint.
